Brett Seacat

After about six hours of deliberation, Brett Seacat, the former Kansas sheriff’s deputy has been found  guilty of 1st degree murder. He also got arson and endangering of a child. Seacat was accused of killing his wife, Vashti, then setting the house on fire. The prosecution said Seacat was a “controlling, manipulative” husband who didn’t want a divorce. The defense said Vashti was depressed and set the home on fire before shooting herself.

Thanks for posting this. I didn’t hear a lot about this till the very end. I guess because of Arias. I am so glad he was found guilty. Three bullets, gun under her body, house on fire and blankets pulled up to her neck. She was a magician. Seacat and Arias would make a great couple. Talk about arrogance and bull stories. She accused Travis of abuse and pedo and he accused his wife of cheating and depression. Now they both have time to think about it.

After many years, I’ve come to a realization that a simple answer to a common sensed question/action would be too easy! Probably bringing Seacat’s jury to Aria’s case would save lots of money to AZ. Would really be answer for a venue request!

I feel that last picture in the shower that Jodi took he had a look of terror on his face. She could have been holding the gun on him at that time then told him to turn around that’s when the stabbing started. Think she wanted him to know what was going happen and suffer before he died

I had on HLN and listened to Arias jury forman speak. It was almost like he wasn’t at the same trial as we saw. Dr. Drews show said we need to respect the opinion of the jury. I agree as it took so many months to get through it but that is so hard for me to do. Pray next jury come in with DP

Seacat’s jury understood what was going on and only took 6 hrs for the verdict. Last night on HLN forman for Arias trial spoke and felt she had been abused. it was only at the end that Travis really said anything harsh to her but I feel he had just found out she was going to black mail him on that last phone call and think that it was her that called him. What about the stalking she did. Doesn’t that count for anything????

If a few angry texts (in response to something horrible Jodi did to him) qualifies as abuse, then ok…but does it mean Travis deserved the Death Penalty? I think not.
